VET NURSES

SARAH MYLES

Sarah has been a Veterinary Nurse since 1998 having worked at the Lort Smith Animal Hospital before joining our team in 2005. Sarah has recently made a 'tree change' leaving the city for country life which she loves. 

Sarah keeps fit by riding her bike and exercising her dogs. She is now a full time student at Melbourne University, but continues to work part time at the clinic.



KARA WEBBER

Kara was a dental nurse for several years but after becoming a regular client of Port Melbourne Veterinary Clinic with her two dogs, Buster and Rupert, Kara decided to make a career change. Kara is a qualified Veterinary Nurse. She loves working at our clinic with lots of different animals.

Kara is now undertaking further training in Emergency Veterinary Nursing and is working at Southern Animal Emergency Centre and part time at Port Melbourne.



KATE CLEAVES

Kate works for us on Saturdays as an animal attendant. She is very approachable and is a bit of an icon in Port Melbourne,  so if you need any local information then Kate is the one to ask. 

She has always had a love of animals and has had a long association with the clinic both as a resident and through her work in the Port Melbourne area.





LOUISE LEE

Louise is our Office Manager and part time receptionist.  She is responsible for wages, accounts, marketing and other behind the scenes jobs.

Louise is married with two grown up children, two mini schnauzers, Darcy and Heidi and two cats named Poppy and Annie. 



Karen Donnelly

Karen commenced working at our clinic in February 2010 as a Trainee Veterinary Nurse, she is studying at Victoria University. Karen is married and has two grown up sons and one grandson.

Karen has two cheeky Burmese cats named Mia and Gypsy and a lorikeet named Lori. Karen loves working with all different types of animals and has owned a variety of pets including hamsters, gerbils and dogs.



Emma McRae

Emma is currently studying Veterinary Science at Melbourne University and works at our clinic as an animal attendant as often as she can, gaining experience which will stand her in good stead for her future career.

Emma's family home is based in Northern NSW, where her family farms Macadamia Nuts, but also runs cattle, alpacas and a few sheep. Unfortunately she currently has no pets of her own due to apartment style living in Melbourne.



Susan Ralston

Sue is a qualified Veterinary Nurse who has been nursing for 18 years. She never tires of meeting new people and their wonderful pets. She has recently moved to the city and hopes to help animal lovers enjoy their pets good health. She has a special interest in the health care of the older animal and owns two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Bart and Anna who have both adapted to city life with style.

 



Ashleigh Long

Ash has done a degree in Animal and Veterinary Bioscience at the University of Sydney but recently moved to Melbourne to study Veterinary Medicine and pursue her career dream of being a Veterinarian. She is particularly interested in wildlife and exotic pet care.

At home Ash has an 11year old Chihuahua named 'Jordy', a Central Bearded Dragon named 'Mater' and a pet Spotted Python named 'Ruby'.

Working at Port Melbourne Veterinary hospital Ash hopes to be able to meet a diverse range of people and their pets as well as gain skills that will equip her for her future profession in the industry.
